Hi James,
No, I'm not familiar with John Beck the Tax Expert. You'll want to research any guru before you buy their product. Most are quite helpful seeing as thought tax lien/deed investing can be quite complicated.
As far as the dates go, yes the county will provide you with the date of the auction. We have a new feature about to launch that will give you dates of up coming auctions nationwide. It should be very helpful.
