Re:Tax Liens - 2007/07/03 16:15
Thanks for posting on our tax lien discussion board. It seems as though you already have a pretty good understanding of the tax lien investing process.
Our data is best for tax deed auctions when the property is available after the lien has been outstanding for a couple of years.
Unfortunately, because all the states differ with the amount of years that pass before the property can be sold at auction, it is difficult to list certain liens for certain states.
Tax lien investing does require some research and even patience if you are looking for a specific home. This is why tax lien and tax deed investing is so profitable and lucrative- because it is also difficult to predict.
So to answer your question you will always want to cross reference with the county or just predict that a lien from 2002 will be at auction in 2007 (in California). Also note that some tax sale homes are not purchased and therefore the county has to keep it until it is sold- as in the case of the property with a lien from 1999.
Hope this helps.
Thanks and good luck with your tax lien investing ventures ahead!
Thanks,
