Hi, just wanted to step in.

You can still buy tax deeds over the counter in some states. I've seen tax deeds sold on the Internet and over the counter in Minnesota, Mississippi, etc. Even non-convential 'tax deed' states.

Tax liens and tax deeds are different. If you're buying a 'straightforward' tax deed (meaning there's no redemption period), you could re-sell it immediately.

Like I said, it's impossible to know what every county and state's rules and regualtions are about tax sales.

They all differ so it's best to research your area before investing.

Jar is correct. Tax Liens and Tax deeds are different. If you invest in a tax lien then you will not be able resell the property for market value because you are not purchasing the property you are purchasing the lien.

If in fact you would like to purchase a property and then resell if for market value then you will want to invest in a tax deed.

I have seen Mr John Beck on TV advertisement today and decided to do some research on this subject. Among all other similar web sites I quite liked yours as you are talking to your customers, giving advice and answering questions.

Before registering I would like to ask - if there are any Tax Deed Auctions coming up in Portage county, Ohio? How aften are they?

Thanks for your question. Yes, be very wary of mentoring offers and other "programs." We are a subscription service that charges the same amount every month, and will never try and "up sell" customers.

As for your question, Portage County, Ohio has regular tax sale auctions occurring up to twice per month. The next sale is a tax deed sale on October 1, 2007.
