Only a couple of state allow that (not going through auction when the lien is not redeemed). I believe one is Illinois. Ultimately you have to do it the way the county guides you and if it must go through auction, then it must go through auction.
Most likely your lien will be redeemed. You normally have at least a year to file foreclosure on the property.
