 tax lien auctions - 2008/08/06 23:03 If i was interested in home that had a tax lien on it for about 9,000 dollars. Do i need to wait for it to go on the auction block or what are the steps for me trying to retreive the tax lien property who would i need to talk to or what steps do i need to take . Thank you. <-===first time investor

Thanks for your message. Yes, you must wait until the county offers the tax lien at auction. The only time you can purchase a lien without the auction is after the auction if the lien is not sold. Some counties call this over the counter.
