 Tax sale properties - 2007/02/19 04:25 Hi,

I live in Orange County and looking to buy sale tax properties. Where should I start? and do they sale these properties in an auction or to whomever pays the tax liens? Can I buy them as much as they owe for their taxes as it shows on your listings eg, $ 3000 or their prices is much more?

Normally in California you will have to attend an auction to obtain a tax sale property. These auctions are conducted similar to any other auction where you bid (amongst others) on a property. The bids normally begin at the taxes owed plus any other fees accrued during the process.

Once you gain control of the title post-redemption period then you are able to do with the property as you wish such as resell the property at market value.
